Envision’s Community Living Services division allows clients with intellectual/developmental disabilities to live in the community, in the residential private homes across the South Suburban Chicagoland area.

The  Residential Program Director will be performing functions to ensure the residence are effectively ran and maintained. Will insure DSP staff are properly trained, supervised and monitored, making sure clients receive the necessary services in the assigned programs.

Some duties to include:

  • Develop and implement progressive programs directed toward residents with developmental disabilities in community living settings in order for them to achieve their maximum level of independence. Schedule, assign, document and monitor activities to ensure that goals are implemented.
  • Provide on-site supervision at the homes.
  • Maintain and operate assigned homes within budgetary guidelines including groceries, gasoline and other purchases.
  • Communicate with parents/guardians, visitors and other community agencies on a regular basis.
  • Continuously monitor health and safety practices in each assigned home to include emergency drills, medication training, staff/client ratios and provide OJT for all staff.
  • Monitor assigned agency vehicles to ensure that mileage logs and gasoline purchases are completed and coordinate with the transportation department on maintenance issues.
  • Coordinate the utilization of professional and consultative services; ensure implementation of recommended services and complete appropriate documentation.
Our Must Haves: 
  • Bachelor degree in human services or related field with a minimum of three years experience in developmental disabilities along with supervisory experience.
  • Must already be on QIDP registry.
  • Valid driver license and access to reliable vehicle.
  • Registration on IDPH DSP registry. 
  • Pass a full criminal background check.

Locations: Positions available on both North and South Sides
