Envision Day Program Services allow our individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to engage in their community, develop support groups outside of the family, as well as provide an environment to cultivate personal interests and vocational skill.

The purpose of our Activity Aids is to assist adults with developmental disabilities to become more independent in vocational and social skills through the development of their own capabilities and potentials.

Some of the duties to include:

  • Will develop client short term goals and plan future activities and review performance as part of the overall ISP (Integrated Service Plan). 
  • Assess and become knowledgeable of a clients vocational, social, personal, academic, physical and emotional needs and capabilities through counseling and meetings with family members and agency consultants.
  • Attend to personal care (such as toileting, showering, toothbrushing), hygiene (such as hand-washing) and medical needs of clients.
  • Respond to medical and behavioral emergencies following appropriate Health and Safety, Aggression Management, First Aid, CPR, accident/incident reporting and other procedures as necessary.
Our Must Haves: 
  • High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent.
  • Attend mandatory trainings offered Monday -Friday 9am-5pm.
  • Pass a full criminal background check.
Nice To Haves: (but not required) 
  • Six months or more experience working with the DD/ID population.
  • College course work in related field (social work/psychology/sociology/special education/rehabilitation/human services etc..)
  • Registration on the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry as a DSP(Direct Service Professional).
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish.
  • Hobby skills in the arena dance, arts& crafts, theater, gardening, sewing etc... 



Location: Diversity and Nashville, Northside Chicago Area 
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am-4pm (not uncommon to work outside these hours based on client activities)
