Join Envision Unlimited,  Envision is seeking a full-time House Manager who will support and manage a team of Direct Support Professionals/Registered Behavior Technicians aiding adults with ID/DD diagnosis who also experience significantly challenging behaviors.

What is a Short-Term Stabilization Home (SSH)?

· Licensed as a Community Integrated Living Arrangement;

· Serving individuals with behavioral challenges that have not been able to be stabilized in the community, despite SST intervention;

· Short term is up to 90 days

· Takes referrals from the Illinois Department of Human Services within 24 hours of referrals.

Essential Functions:

Serve as direct supervisor over SSH staff

Demonstrate leadership and problem-solving abilities

Ensure adequate staffing ratios, oversee scheduling (flexing time to fill shifts as needed), payroll approval, and assist with hiring

Management of house funds and budgets

Oversee training of new staff (DSP OJT packet included for non-DSP hires)-identify areas of retraining among staff

Ensure staff completion of documentation and daily record keeping

On-Call availability

House Inspections (Maintenance, Supplies, Food Inventory)

Food/Supply Shopping (can be delegated to staff)

Other duties as assigned

-Provide clients with training, technical assistance and support to maintain successfully in the community. 

-Provide compassionate care and recovery-oriented services to clients with severe and persistent mental illness. 

-Provide input into the client’s treatment plan by outlining strengths, challenges and accomplishments.

-Assist clients to achieve independent living goals by providing training in key areas such as activities of  daily living, budgeting, transportation, developing healthy relationships and other items defined by ITP goals. 

-Develop and implement psychosocial recreational opportunities both on site and off site. 

-Document all activities provided in an electronic health records system

-Achieve and maintain productivity targets reflective of case load size and client needs. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Be at least 21 years old

High School Diploma or GED

Able to pass a criminal background check

Able to pass TABE test

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Valid Il driver’s license

1 year of social service experience, preferred

DSP certification (identified on Health care Worker Registry as a DD Aide) for minimum of two years

At least one-year supervisory experience

Intermediate computer proficiencies

Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in the human service field

Registered Behavior Technician certification, or must obtain certification within first 6 months of employment
