General Functions:

The DSP/RBT will evaluate and provide training to clients who are dually diagnosis in daily living and social skills in order to assist them in achieving and maintaining their maximum level of functioning and independent community living.

 

The RBT will regularly interact with an interdisciplinary treatment team, including the BCBA, RN, Program Director, and Program Administrator to ensure behavioral plans are being efficiently implemented and effective in stabilizing behaviors. Successful Registered Behavioral Technicians will need to be prepared to calmly and effectively deescalate crisis situations. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Alert appropriate staff members of guest and/or client arrivals in a timely manner.
  • Answer incoming calls using professional greeting that identifies that they have reached “Envision Unlimited Mental Health and Wellness”, transfer/forward calls to appropriate staff members and provide correct contact information for other departments as needed. 
  • Return messages, when appropriate, within 24 business hours. 
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges).
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing.
  • Present initial paperwork to clients arriving for intake; ensure completion of paperwork before alerting staff that client is ready for intake.
  • Maintain MH electronic care record’s document management by scanning client information and saving it to appropriate location 

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a High School diploma or GED. Three years or more work experience with the I/DD and or MI diagnosed population. Complete 40 hours of Behavioral Technician training and pass the RBT competency assessment within 90 days and other necessary training as required. Must Be able to maneuver up to 50 pounds with professional crisis techniques.

Must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid driver's license, be approved to drive agency vehicles through agency insurance, and pass a required criminal background check. Must have effective oral and written communication skills, ability to work with diverse populations and work collaboratively with other staff.
