Description

Envision Unlimited is looking for a Program Director to join its Day Services Team!

Our Day Programs offer individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) the opportunity to engage in their community, develop support groups outside of the family, as well as provide an environment to cultivate personal interests and vocational skills.

The Program Director is responsible for the overall management and day to day operations of the facility.

Some of the duties to include:

  • Interview, hire and train employees, evaluate performance, and recommend changes in employee status. Ensure disciplinary action is implemented, as appropriate, in a fair and consistent manner in accordance with agency policies and procedures.

  • Monitor facility activities to ensure compliance with all relevant rules, regulations, and service contracts including, but not limited to, Agency policies, CARF requirements, DHS Rules [i.e., 119, 120, 50, 51], DOL & OSHA regulations, etc.

  • Maintain projected levels of enrollment and manage the flow of clients into the program and among units. Identify and establish community hub sites such that enrollment is distributed among multiple locations.

  • Direct the clerical and administrative support functions of the facility, ensuring the timely, accurate, and thorough completion of a variety of facility documents and ensuring personnel records are handled in a confidential manner.

  • Review the quality of each client’s Person Centered Plan/Implementation Plan, monitoring the timely completion of assessments, monthly reviews, referrals for services, and other pertinent services and documents. Periodically attend staffing. Ensure behavior programs are written properly and necessary approvals are obtained. Serve as resource person to the QIDP’s providing coaching and input as needed and assisting in resolving unusual case management issues.

  • Establish, monitor and maintain community partnerships.

  • Increase community integration to 75% of programming time, including frequent evening and weekend events.

  • Support movement of clients into competitive employment, whether through Job Placement or day program efforts.

  • Support the manufacture of pillows and other products.

    Our Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in rehabilitation counseling, social work, psychology, sociology, special education or related human service field.

  • Must be a QIDP.

  • Five years working with the ID/DD population.

  • Three to five years supervisory experience.

  • Valid driver license and access to a reliable vehicle if needed to drive per agency needs.


    Location: Westtown Center
    Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30a-4:00p (not uncommon to work outside of these hours based on client activities)
