Envision Unlimited is a large non-profit agency with locations on the north and south sides of Chicago.  We provide day program, residential, case management, career, and therapeutic services to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or mental illness in our continued commitment to provide persons with disabilities or other special needs. Envision Unlimited is excited to bring aboard a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Instructor in our Mental Health Services Division.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in psychology or related human services field required. One year paid experience working with mental health clients strongly preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid driver's license, be approved to drive agency vehicles through agency insurance, pass a required criminal background check. Must be able to set and enforce boundaries as well as to adapt and perform under stressful situations. Must have a solid knowledge base of how to take data of specific goals/behaviors. Must work collaboratively with other staff.


General Functions:

PSR Instructors serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team and provides comprehensive services to individuals with mental illness and/or developmental disability.  Instructors must creatively plan activities and actively engage the members throughout the day.  The Instructor will focus on providing group and individual activities that will actively engage members in the following areas: independent living skills, community integration, economic self-sufficiency, coping skills, peer support and future planning. Participates in the development and implementation of individual program plans, behavior management programs, all member related activities and documentation as defined by the interdisciplinary team, accreditation and funding organizations.  Documentation responsibilities in PSR include the completion of all MRO billing.

Hours:       Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
